Why such diversity?
As a young girl, I use to watch television and wonder about stories not told. I think it started with Mr. and Mrs. Danko on The Rookies. From there it went on to Star Trek, Emergency!, and various other shows. Sometimes I wrote stories about the characters, other times it was the actors. I stopped in high school, strangely enough around the time Star Trek books were becoming popular.
I didn't think about it again until I got onto the internet. I was fooling around once and found Emergency! and The Young Riders fanfiction. Some was bad, real bad, but there was some great writing out there too. I read about every piece I could find and finally wrote a piece for The Young Riders. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't great either. From there I went on to Emergency!. I wrote a few pieces for Johnny's Green Pen and another now defunct site. Then I found Trixie Belden. I was so excited. Trixie and her club were a major part of my childhood. I read voraciously and loved series books. Trixie and her friends were just like me, while Nancy Drew was nothing like me. I read every piece of TB fiction I could find. And it was very active. I posted a small story at Zap's. It was small, but it was not horrible. Now I am playing with a website and decided this might be the best place to post all my fan fiction. So I hope you enjoy.
At this point, this site is definitely under construction. Please bear with me as I write and fix things. I do hope you enjoy.
My Innocent Guilty Pleasure
As a young girl, I enjoyed reading books and watching television. I soon began writing stories about my favorite television characters and actors. I was sure no one else did and I'm also sure those papers have long ago been tossed in the garbage. I forgot about those early stories until I started to find Star Trek fiction being written by fans in fanzines and then in books sold in actual book stores. I began reading these new stories of my favorite Star Trek characters and enjoying them.
Later the internet became a major force in the universe. As I started cruising and finding different websites, I found fanfiction. My two favorites were Star Trek and The Young Riders fan fiction. After a while, I finally tried to write a story. After several starts and stops, I posted a story for The Young Riders series. It was long and probably not very well written. Then I tried a few shorter ones for the show Emergency!. I finished some and they were posted on the site Johnny's Green Pen. I thought they were much better than my earlier attempts.
As I was writing those stories, I continued searching the web. AHA! When I was young, I had found a book called The Red Trailer Mystery. It was a story about a young girl detective. She was more real to me than that other girl detective who had money and could travel the world and never get into trouble. Trixie Belden had a pesky younger brother that she had to babysit, two older brothers-one who was definitely a bit of a pain, and parents who believed in grounding her and forcing her to finish her chores. The fiction for Trixie and her friends was awesome. So, even though I knew mine was not as good, I finally submitted a story to Zap's Trixie site. That story was it until just recently. Now I am in the process of writing a set of stories for my Trixie universe. I decided to put my stories on my own website and announce it through the Jixemitri site. The Jixemitri website information is on my referral page.
Finally, when I became an empty-nester, I began watching a set of movies I had never intended to watch. After watching the first three, I went back and read all seven of the Harry Potter books and watched the rest of the movies. I was very impressed with the storyline but there was so much not written about. So I have written some short stories for the Potter universe. I will add these as I type them up. I like the canon pairings and as I always support the underdog, I have a soft spot for Ron Weasley. Just a fair warning for those who are not so fond of that adorably awkward red-head.
Please enjoy these stories. I do not own any of the characters. I make no money on any of these stories. I just hope someone enjoys them and likes my view into these different universes.
